The American Dystopia
If the U.S. were another country the military would have invaded by now

The United States, as we all know, has had quite a tumultuous couple of years. But it does not appear to be getting any better, in many ways, it is actually getting worse.
Joe Biden is President and Liberals are over the moon, yet the material conditions for the majority of the population have not improved like Biden stated they would during his campaign — remember those $2,000 checks? But Biden will happily approve an $85 million Raytheon weapons deal for Chile. While Biden’s Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, a former Raytheon board member and is believed to own $750,000 to $1.7 million in Raytheon stock.
So, an $85 million deal for Chile most definitely smells of corruption and you the people — during a pandemic, recession, and mass unemployment — do not even receive $2,000.
Furthermore, the pandemic continues to rage through the country with almost half a million dead and cases keep on rising with tens of thousands daily. But still not universal healthcare? Still not Covid relief checks?
Still, the government do not care about the well-being of the American people. Biden would rather get a photo op on the lawn of the White House accompanied by love hearts, put there by his wife, Jill, in an effort to show how relatable and kind he and his administration is.
Now the U.S. has been hit with a natural disaster — a winter storm — that the government, both state and federal appear to not care much about, seeing people in Portland go to garbage containers filled with perishable foods, that the supermarket threw out, in search for nourishment and being pushed back by police, guns locked and loaded.
In Houston, the fourth largest city in the U.S., people are freezing to death in their homes with temperatures going below sub-zero with the electricity grid also shutting down.
Others are left to lighting fires within their homes to keep warm and water lines forming in Haden Park, to collect water from a tap. Then, the infamous Senator for Texas, Ted Cruz, fly's out to Mexico, Cancun, for a little gateway to the warmth while others in the state literally freeze to death. Millions have been left without food, water, electricity, and just general care, also all of this is happening during the pandemic.

Moreover, Liberals start cracking jokes about how states should have “voted blue” rather than show any form of solidarity for other Americans that are struggling, acting as if U.S. politics is not bipartisan.
Prominent Liberal journalists showcase empty supermarkets in Houston, stating, “Houston supermarkets with a Venezuela vibe.” Rather than acknowledging that in Venezuela the reason there is a limited supply of food is due to egregious sanctions placed on Venezuela by the U.S. That the UN has stated is “devasting” to Human Rights.
And has seen hundreds of thousands at risk due to the inability to get hold of medicines, due to Washington’s sanctions, with a total of 40,000 dead due to the sanctions. Furthermore, the sanctions have also seized Venezuelan assets. In Britain, more than $1.8bn Venezuelan gold is being held captive by the Bank of England which is refusing to release it and the U.S. government has frozen “$5.5 billion of Venezuelan funds in international accounts in at least 50 banks and financial institutions”.

To compare empty supermarket shelves in the U.S. to Venezuela is wrong because the U.S. is fully capable to resolve this issue and provide its people with food, or even a home, healthcare, and money for that matter, but Washington actively chooses not to.
While, in Venezuela, despite the sanctions, the government have provided people with food via food program CLAP (Local Committees for Supply and Production). And also, the Chavista government aimed to deliver 500,000 homes in 2020.
Washington, as I have stated, can resolve the issues that the U.S. has and is experiencing, the only thing is they do not want to. So, poor comparisons by Liberal journalists, as seen above, are not only foul in nature but also shows an apparent inability to hold government accountable for the dystopia that the American people reside in.
The U.S. I believe will not change dramatically from Trump's tenure, the material conditions for millions of Americans will not change either. Biden’s administration will still engage in imperialist endeavours around the globe, in efforts to maintain U.S. hegemony, and will continue to oppress its own population at home.
The only difference being Biden will be smiling and presented as a decent and humane guy, despite his track record — helping initiate Obama’s awful increase in drone warfare, the 1994 Crimes bill, and championing the Iraq War.
