29th International Business Forum begins in Istanbul

Forum organized under main theme of 'the Transformation of Humanity and The Business World in the Age of AI'

The 29th International Business Forum (IBF), organized to bring together business people from all over the world and create a lasting communication and cooperation network, started on Wednesday in Istanbul. The IBF was organized under the main theme of "the Transformation of Humanity and The Business World in the Age of AI" as patf of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) Expo 2026, where Anadolu is the global communication partner. Speaking at the opening of the forum held at the Istanbul Expo Center, MUSIAD Chair Burhan Ozdemir said MUSIAD, founded in 1990, is the largest and most widespread non-governmental organization in Türkiye. International Business Forum President Erol Yarar stated that the IBF is organized with a different topic every year, adding: "In an environment where a new age has started, it would be impossible not to talk about artificial intelligence (AI). "Therefore, we determined our topic this year on AI, but on the transformation of human and business world in artificial intelligence," Yarar said. Expressing that valuable speakers and experts will convey developments and experience regarding AI to participants, Yarar said they will experience something together for the first time in the world. Stating that humanity is now faced with an entity called AI that influences people's decisions long before information, Yarar noted that humanity has never encountered anything before that analyzes, collects information, and produces decisions on human behalf. Yarar emphasized that institutions owning AI pose a risk of manipulating people in the future. Pointing to potential negative aspects of AI, Yarar said serious problems will bring challenges for future generations and young people communicating with AI will have different mindsets. He warned that AI eliminates the learning process, which threatens the essential process-based human education.
