British soldier killed in 'road traffic incident' in Ukraine

Defense Ministry says soldier died in traffic incident in Ukraine on Saturday

A member of the UK Armed Forces died in Ukraine inj a "road traffic incident" over the weekend, the British Defense Ministry said Monday. "It is with deep regret that we must announce that a member of the UK Armed Forces died in a road traffic incident in Ukraine on Saturday 12 September," said a ministry statement. It said the family has been informed and that they have requested a grace period before further details are released. "Our thoughts and our sympathies are with the individual's loved ones at this difficult time," added the ministry. Last December, another UK soldier died in what the ministry called a "tragic accident" away from the front lines in Ukraine.
