Danish police investigate new threats targeting Copenhagen Airport

Police deploy officers to airport following threats against air traffic, with initial assessment indicating no immediate danger to passengers
Danish police on Friday said they were investigating new threats targeting air traffic at Copenhagen Airport, with an initial assessment indicating no immediate danger to passengers. "We are once again at Copenhagen Airport today in connection with threats directed at air traffic," Copenhagen Police said in a statement. "We are now investigating the incident and have a visible presence at the airport," police added. The latest incident followed a series of hoax bomb threats that disrupted dozens of passenger flights across Europe, forcing several aircraft to make unscheduled landings. Some of the incidents also prompted authorities to deploy fighter jets to escort or intercept passenger aircraft. On Thursday, a military bomb disposal unit searched two aircraft at Copenhagen Airport, Denmark's largest airport, following a bomb threat. No explosive devices were found during the searches.
