Turkish investment group plans new agricultural plant in Uzbekistan
OYAK prepares to launch large-scale agricultural chemical production facility in Tashkent next year, bringing together Turkish, Uzbek and Omani capital to produce high-tech crop protection products
Turkish investment group OYAK is preparing to launch an agricultural chemical production plant in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, next year to establish an export hub for the broader Central Asian market.
The sprawling Hektas Asia LLC facility, located within the Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone, will accelerate the strategic industrial partnership between Türkiye and Uzbekistan. The plant will produce advanced agricultural chemicals with capital from Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Oman under one roof.
OYAK Holding CEO Murat Yalcintas told Anadolu that Uzbekistan is creating significant opportunities through its investment climate, commitment to reform and strategic regional location, driving interest from the Turkish business community.
Yalcintas stated that the plant will produce high-tech agricultural chemicals and crop protection products through a single cooperative framework in partnership with UzOman Investment.
“We aim to contribute to regional food supply security, boost the local production capacity, and support Uzbekistan’s goal of becoming a major export hub for Central Asian markets,” he said.
“This investment reflects OYAK’s vision to establish a sustainable production infrastructure within Turkic republics and drive regional growth,” he added.
OYAK also collaborated with China Investment Corporation, Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and the Uzbekistan Fund for Reconstruction and Development on the Central Asia and Caucasus Private Equity Fund (CACPEF).
The platform aims to provide critical long-term capital for manufacturing, industrial and infrastructure development in Central Asia.
