Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to join Junior MasterChef Australia in 2027

Network 10 describes Meghan as a “special guest” who will work alongside host Poh Ling Yeow

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will join the returning television program Junior MasterChef Australia as a special guest in 2027, Australian broadcaster Network 10 announced Tuesday. While some reports described Meghan as a co-host, the official announcement said she would work alongside host and MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow to guide the young contestants. “I had an incredible time with the whole team at MasterChef this past April, so when they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes,” Meghan said. “I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what they cook up!” Meghan previously appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia in 2026. Paramount Australia and New Zealand said the episode drew the program’s largest Sunday audience since 2023. Yeow said she was pleased that the children’s version of the cooking competition was returning after six years. “I had a lovely time filming with Meghan earlier this year, and being reunited will be a real treat,” she said. “I can’t wait to meet our pint-sized culinary adventurers – I’m expecting plenty of delicious surprises and a little mischief, too.” Meghan has previously presented food and lifestyle content in the Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which ran for two seasons and a Christmas special. She also appeared as a guest judge on the US program Chopped Junior in 2016. Before marrying Britain’s Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan was best known for playing Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits. She and Harry stepped back from their roles as senior members of the British royal family in 2020 and subsequently pursued independent media and commercial projects. Junior MasterChef Australia, produced by Endemol Shine Australia, will return to Network 10 in 2027.
