The Ramadan Tent Project convened an elaborate open-air Iftar dinner at London’s most renowned place, Trafalgar Square. A local politician said Islamophobia is dangerous not only for Muslims but also the entire British society. The organizer of the event said such events will help dispel the misgivings about Islam. (Geo News Special )​​​   The House of Lords is teaming up with the Ramadan Tent Project to host an open iftar in Trafalgar Square on Thursday 30 May. 1,000 people are expected to take part in the evening meal, hosted jointly by the Ramadan Tent Project (RTP) and the House of Lords. RTP, a community-based social enterprise, has hosted a series of open iftars in partnership with organisations such as Westminster Abbey and Wembley Stadium.  Members of staff from the Lords Administration will be volunteering at the public event, and Lord Dubs (Labour) will deliver the keynote speech for the evening. All tickets for the event have now all been allocated, but further events in the series are planned until Monday 3 June.
